Our walking robot progress's

The "robot marcheur" project consists of designing and manufacturing a biomimetic robot able to do a 15-meter race as fast as possible, running against one other competitor.
The production of the robot is ruled by constraints defined in the specifications which was given by the Saint-Etienne UIT.
The main features of the robot are, firstly the biomimetism of the mechanical system, secondly the weight which has to be lower than 15 kilogramms, finally all the parts used for the manufacturing excepting raw components must have a final price lower than 50 euros.
On the other side we cannot spend more than 30 euros for raw parts.

To respect those constraints we decided to create a four-paws robot which will be less stable than a six-paws solution but in which the operating part will be more interesting to design.
Our solution is directly inspired from the "Jansen" mechanism on which we added an acceleration system leading to a faster movement of the paw when this is one doesn't touch the ground.
It allows the robot to continually have three paws in contact with the ground, improving the stability of the system.
From this solution we had to determine to what animal it will look like to, and that's the bull that has been chosen.

Currently, we are finishing the robot's designing on Pro Engineer, which is almost done. Then we will begin to manufacture our system, with firstly, the machining of the paw's links.
